Can these little nature's plantings be kept
indoors? As long as you provide sufficient
sunlight (2-3 hours daily), humidity and good ventilation indoors, the planting
should thrive. You can also use a plant light, humidity tray and fan to help
out.
How easy is it to take care of the planting? As long as the planting is placed in a good location (e.g.
sufficient sunlight, humidity and good air flow) and is properly watered and
fed, it is fairly easy to take care of the planting and enjoy the miniature art
for a long time. Nevertheless, the plants in the planting may grow larger over
time; you may want to view "Thriving Bonsai" DVD to learn about the basics in
order to keep the plant in its miniature form. Nature's Highlight planting's
monthly subscription discount plan is also available; by subscribing to our one
year plan for example, you will receive a newly featured planting every month
for 12 subsequent months and have an inspiring treasure throughout the four
seasons. |

What
are "Nature's Highlight Plantings"?"Transplant the beauty of the outdoors into your home" -
"Nature's Highlight Plantings" are a special way of arranging plants in
miniature, with each planting carefully created and nurtured over time to
reflect the grand splendor of nature. We use trees, plants or grasses that
encompass different textures, forms, sizes, colors, and flowering times, or
even an herbal variety that may yield an aromatic scent. These exhilarating
arrangements are the result of continuous and careful refinement.
Why are Nature's Highlight Planting's designs
unique? Nature's Highlight Plantings do not
just look great, but also that each of the planting has been carefully created
and nurtured to reflect several of our weekend outdoor adventurous themes. And
yet these individually nurtured plantings are also arranged into one-of-a kind
indoor gardens! Just as one enjoys the plants in a garden, these arrangements
complement each individual plant and together form a natural ensemble pleasing
to the eye. The beauty and serenity of nature can enter your home and your
heart through Nature's Highlight's living art.
How do I display the Nature's Highlight
Plantings?Viewing your miniature trees or
landscapes on their benches, while rewarding, is not the ideal way to
appreciate them. Traditionally, regardless how small they are, bonsai are
viewed isolated from other plants, trees, or visual clutter.
Decorating your home with Nature's Highlight Plantings and
Candles: Since the Nature's Highlight Planting's containers
are about 3" in diameter, which happens to be the standard size of pillar
candles that fit well on many candle holders - a commonly found fixture which
serves as an ornament for the candlelight. Or, group a couple to a few
plantings together and arrange them with candles on a candle tray, the design
will certainly add warmth, style, and mood to every room in your home or
office.
How are "Nature's Highlight plantings" different from
Bonsai?Compared to
commercially available gift bonsai in the US market today -
Many gift bonsai currently available on the market are mass produced, the
result is a product that reflects that mentality, meaning the prevalence of the
same type of tree all the same age, making for a very monotonous product. On
the other hand we strive to make every one of our bonsai a unique work of art.
In our "potted scenic view in miniature" our artists strive to recreate an
individual and harmonic reflection of nature. We strive to create art that
recreates the outdoor experience for you. Such as the trail you enjoy hiking on
so much, or the stream in which you enjoy fishing, or the particular area you
usually camp in. The bonsai landscape is recreated in a container of 3 inches
or less with carefully grown and selected trees and plants. Compared to traditional bonsai in
Japan - "Nature's Highlight plantings" are somewhat related
to Mame (pronounced "Ma-May") and Shito, the smallest of bonsai in Japan.
However, instead of focusing on the design of a single tree, "Nature's
Highlight planting" involves trees, plants or grasses that encompass different
textures, forms, sizes, colors, and flowering times, or even an herbal variety
that may yield an aromatic scent to create more realistic landscapes in
miniature. |
